BOARD CHAIR

Brett Horn

Brett Horn is the founder, past Chairman of Charlie's House in Kansas City, MO. A family tragedy spurred Brett & his wife Jenny to build a non-profit organization into an amazing resource for parents & caregivers around the country. Charlie’s House achieves its mission of preventing accidents and injuries to children in and around the home, by providing educational programs, safety supply distribution, and the operation of the nation’s first full scale safety demonstration home. Currently, Brett leads the advocacy efforts for the organization.

A career in banking and sales has allowed Brett to focus his passion in the child safety arena. In addition to his work on Charlie's House; Brett is an active leader with ASTM an international standards organization that develops voluntary standards, by serving on F15.90 Executive Subcommittee on Consumer Products & F15.42 Furniture Safety.

Brett is proud to have worked alongside many other tip over parents to create Parents Against Tip-overs (PAT), where he discovered a skill set & passion for legislative advocacy in fighting for the STURDY Act.
